Inactive Ingredients
corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch (maize). In addition, the 25 mg/100 mg strength contain D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake and FD&C yellow #6 aluminum lake (sunset yellow lake). The 10 mg/100 mg and 25 mg/250 mg strengths contain FD&C blue #2 aluminum lake.
Indications and Usage
Carbidopa and levodopa tablets are indicated in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, post-encephalitic parkinsonism, and symptomatic parkinsonism that may follow carbon monoxide intoxication or manganese intoxication. Carbidopa may also reduce nausea and vomiting and permit more rapid titration of levodopa.
